About us
GTA England was founded in 2009 to raise the profile of GTAs, present a compelling case to funding organisations and to work successfully with government as a natural partner. We are supported in principle by LSC and by the Association of Learning Providers (ALP).
Our vision
The GTA England vision is broader still. Through collaborative
membership, GTAs share knowledge, develop processes and systems of
mutual benefit and seek to expand training provision from
traditional manufacturing to the new green industries.
We have plans to provide quality assurance and move to self-regulate, reducing the inspection burden on GTAs.
We will also seek powers to offer our own awards within the Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF).
Our aims
- Lobbying Government
- Leveraging the joint capability of the membership to obtain UK funding streams.
- Self-regulation of GTAs
- Establishment of Quality standardisation across the UK for GTA's
- Facilitating development and cooperation between member companies
- Identifying and providing operational cost efficiencies and savings to members by virtue of scale.

"Each GTA is important to
its local economy and community. Working together we are a key
national player, able to work on new challenges and the rapid
expansion of the apprenticeship system."
We have unrivalled
experience in knowing what training industry needs and how best to
deliver it. Our members are employer-sponsored, providing training
close to industry.
