At a time when local companies are looking to claw in new business in any way they can, Bolton based training provider, Alliance Learning are bucking the trend with massive increases in course numbers.
The IPAF course in particular has seen a significant rise in places allocated over the last few months, with Alliance Learning's other Specialised Plant Course also seeing an improvement in figures.
Awarding Body, IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) record a league table of the top 135 companies across the UK who deliver the course. Due to the nature of the module, the top 15 companies are usually always hire companies, however remarkably Alliance Learning have sailed into 18th position after a successful uptake on the course.
The aim of the course is to give attendees knowledge of relevant Regulations, Codes of Practice and good safe working practices along with hands-on practical skills to enable them to safely use mobile powered access equipment.
Participants emerge from the one day course, safer more capable and confident operators and will receive an IPAF card to demonstrate their level of competency and safety to IPAF standards.
Senior Plant Instructor at Alliance Learning, Brian Nicholls commented:
"The rise in people wanting to come to Alliance Learning onto the IPAF course has been that considerable that we have had to hire two extra pieces of equipment to sustain the class requirements and we are proud to say that our attendee success rate is exceptional.
"Clearly, local employers and employees are realising the benefits of enrolling onto the course and the impact this could have on reducing accidents and incidents within the workplace."
