Alliance Learning support spending review apprenticeships boost
(26.10.10) PLANS to double the number of Apprenticeships have this week been given the go ahead by the government.
Following the much anticipated Spending Review, the Chancellor George Osborne, promised to boost the number of Apprenticeships by £250 million a year in order to strengthen the skills of the UK workforce.
Bolton based training provider, Alliance Learning have always been vocal about the commitment needed from local business to drive the growth of the local economy.
Placing a prominent emphasis on sustainable training, Alliance believe the only way to rebalance the unsteady financial system is to encourage staff development amongst North West businesses.
In support of this, a recent survey found that the majority of employers believed Apprenticeship programmes were beneficial because they led a lower level of staff turnover and remarkably over 81% of employers surveyed said that employing apprentices generated higher overall productivity for their company.
Alliance Learning are able to offer expert professional Apprenticeship training in the following areas; Business Administration, Customer Service, Contact Centre, ITQ, Team Leading and Management.
Alliance Learning's Operations Executive, Paul Cocker said:
"In this current climate companies need to stay competitive in order to secure business and to compete you need a team of employees who are accurately trained and excel in their profession.
"The government's plans highlight the importance of education within company organisations and businesses should be utilising these fantastic opportunities whilst they can."
Training and development doesn't have to be costly for businesses. Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships are fully funded for learners 16-18 and for anyone aged 19+ Alliance Learning can subsidise up to 95% of the employer contribution expected by our UK government.
