Alliance Learning welcomes ex apprentice as new Chairman’ (1)

BOLTON based training provider, Alliance Learning have appointed a new Chairman to support the ongoing development of their business.
Paul Taylor, Managing Director of Bolton based hydraulics firm Hyquip Ltd, has been appointed as the training centre's new Chairman following a long standing partnership with the company.
A former apprentice himself, Paul graduated from Alliance Learning (formerly The Bolton Training Group) in 1989 with an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
Paul went on to achieve a HNC in Engineering, a Degree in Business Studies, a Master's Degree in Management and developed his skills within the industry before finally making his mark as Managing Director and a partner in his own company, Hyquip Ltd.
Speaking about his appointment, Paul Taylor said:
"I am delighted to take up the role of Chairman of Alliance Learning having served on the Board for the past six years already. I have witnessed firsthand the excellent work done by the staff and the difference the company makes to the lives of people of all ages undertaking training with us. As an ex apprentice myself, I can fully appreciate the importance of learning new skills and I look forward to sharing this knowledge and my experience with others who may just be starting on the career ladder."
"My own company, Hyquip, has employed five apprentices across Business Administration, Warehousing and Engineering. I truly believe in nurturing the workforce of tomorrow and if today's learners can get as much value out of their course as I did then they'll be on track for a successful career."
Paul joined the Board of Directors in 2005 as a trustee, helping and advising the company and supporting apprentices and other learners with their career development. His appointment as Chairman of Alliance Learning marks a 25 year association with one of the region's largest and most successful training providers.
