EXPANSION SPARKS JOBS BOOST
In line with ambitious diversification and business growth plans, Training 2000 is expanding into Cumbria.
The training provider, established in Lancashire more than 40 years ago, has appointed two staff members to deliver training across the county.
Following a consultation process with employers in the region, Apprenticeships are available in Dental Nursing and Health support services and Health and Social Care and more than sixty learners have already enrolled onto the work-based training programmes.
Gail Warburton, dental team leader at Training 2000, commented: "Dedicated training is a must for anyone in the dental industry as it has a direct relevance to daily duties and a dramatic impact on service quality. From what we have seen over the years, patients definitely receive improved levels of delivery from those employees that have completed or are working towards an NVQ and this, in-turn, leads to improved customer retention.
"Throughout the programme, students have the opportunity to develop their skills in the workplace whilst concentrating on the theory side on a day release or evening basis.'
Established in 1967, Training 2000 specialises in skills improvement programmes and qualifications, and the firm's Apprenticeship programmes are renowned for their relevance to industry, with completion rates exceeding the national average.
Dental courses are currently being delivered in Kendal, Carlisle and Workington and Training 2000 is now looking to extend its service county-wide, starting with Barrow.
