MP Julie Hilling praises Alliance Learning for commitment to local training

(06.10.10) APPRENTICESHIPS have once again hit the headlines this month with MP Catherine McKinnell calling for certain public procurement contracts led by public authorities to include a commitment by the contractor to provide apprenticeships and skills training.
With McKinnell expressing the importance of skills training and the positive impact they have on the lives of young people, Alliance Learning took the opportunity to invite local MP, Julie Hilling (Bolton West) to look around their organisation.
Alliance were keen to show Ms Hilling the quality of the provision available in her constituency and allow her to view the faculties available for learners. Extremely supportive of training programmes, Julie Hilling was particularly impressed with the range of apprenticeship and commercial courses available and praised Alliance Learning for their continued commitment to delivering support to the local community.
MP Julie Hilling has this comment:
"I am very impressed by the facilities and the range of opportunities available at Alliance Learning. It is essential for our local economy that we have an independent training provider on our door step which links individual professional development with vital skills that employers need for their companies.
"I have let them know that I am happy to support their organisation in any way that I can".
With Alliance Learning keen to highlight the benefits of apprentice and commercial courses to employers, Julie Hilling's support is a significant factor in engaging further with those businesses that could profit from the skills provided by Alliance.
Alliance Learning's CEO, Steve Whitehead said:
"I am delighted that Julie Hilling accepted our invitation to see how Alliance Learning contributes to both the local and wider community, employers and individuals."
