New Year, New Skills!
(13.01.11) AS the nation pins its hopes on economic recovery in 2011, the Coalition has made it clear that skills will be the key to accelerating growth and promoting new business opportunities.
In an attempt to encourage local learners to update and improve their basic skills, Bolton based training provider, Alliance Learning are offering a fully funded maths & English refresher course with the added incentive of an additional free course on completion.
The course is completely free of charge and to encourage learners to continue improving on their skills, Alliance are offering a bonus e-business course following completion of their maths and English.
With an extensive range of over 300 business titles to choose from, candidates who go onto take the additional free course will have a varied choice from the following modules; Sage Accounts, Web Design, Health & Safety, Management Skills, Sales & Marketing and Starting a Business - to name but a few.
Central to each and every industry sector, basic maths and English skills play a fundamental role in the day to day running of any business and are essential for commercial progression.
Head of e-Learning at Alliance Learning, Helen Lockwood said:
"Many people underestimate the value basic numeracy and literacy can add to their overall skill set. Refresher courses are specifically designed to address the most common problem areas faced by many people both in and out of the workplace environment.
"Successful candidates can achieve nationally recognised certificates giving them a real confidence boost and helping them to stay competitive in the current commercial climate."
Alternatively, learners will also have the option to use their 'bonus' course on one of Alliance Learning's new range of practical work-based skill programmes. These include; Basic Food Hygiene, Paediatric First Aid, Emergency First Aid, Moving and Handling Patients and CSCS Site Safety.
The course will be available all year on a roll on, roll off programme. To find out more about the range of courses available from Alliance Learning, please contact 01204 696744 or visit the website, www.alliancelearning.com.
